Hamferð announces Scandinavian tour

Following their release of the monumental ‘Támsins likam‘ on Metal Blade Records earlier in the year, and after touring Central Europe extensively, Faroese Doom Metal act Hamferð will embark on an exclusive tour of Scandinavia. This includes their very first visit to Sweden after 8 years of international touring.

Singer Jón Aldará adds:

“Doing a proper tour for our neighbours in the North has been on our wish-list for a long time now. We are thrilled that it is finally happening, and that we have been able to include Sweden. Not having played there yet is close to being a tragedy. Also, going back to Norway and Denmark is a treat, since they have always been incredibly kind to us. There’s no denying that we have a close cultural bond with our Nordic brothers and sisters, so this tour will be a special experience without a doubt.”

Joining them on tour will be Faroese blackened doomsters Svartmálm, who released their scorching eponymous debut album in February this year. The dates are as follows:

When my old buddy Kenn Jensen asked me if I wanted to contribute to the new site he had created, then called powermetal.dk, I didn't hesitate. My love for metal music was and is great. I wrote my first review during the summer of 2004 (Moonspell's 'Antidote' album). In 2015, I took over the editor-in-chief role.
