So when Swedish progressive rock/metal innovators Pain of Salvation announced their first European tour in support of their studio album “In the Passing Light of Day” and Copenhagen was added to the tour-list on the 29th of March, I simply couldn’t miss out on this chance to finally see them perform live. Honestly, I didn’t really care much about the prog metal outfit until the release of their latest & greatest album in their career imo entitled “In the Passing Light of Day”.
The icing on the cake was the announcement of post-metal act PORT NOIR to support their Swedish brothers in arms PAIN OF SALVATION on their upcoming European tour, I had to grab the opportunity and see the three boys of PORT NOIR live for the second time, but this time around on a much bigger stage at the venue Amager Bio.
PORT NOIR & PoS didn’t disappoint and some good photos were taken during the gigs with both bands performing. I had the pleasure to meet up with Port Noir before they went on stage and like always they were humble and down to earth guys, and clearly remembered our last face2face “confrontation” at the smaller venue Forbrændingen, which happened exactly one year ago.
Should one of these bands ever decide to visit an area close to you, then they are definitely worth both your time and your hard-earned money. Go check them out.
