No, this wasn’t Phil Anselmo’s greatest day at the office. His voice wasn’t quite up to snuff, which you could say is a bit concerning only four days into the tour, but nevertheless, the riffs…oh, the riffs. On evenings like this, you realise just how powerful and magical the music of Dime, Rex, Vinnie and Phil was. No matter if the sound could’ve been better and Anselmo’s voice wasn’t as potent as one could wish for, this was a grand evening.
Texan Power Trip were in truth a worthy support band for the mighty Pantera, whereas Child Bite from Detroit were more interesting than awesome.
