Zaiph is a metal band from Argentina. They are a metal band that locks into a groove really well and all the arrangements on their self-titled album are tight. Frontman and bandleader Nicolas Moroni has a very strong and powerful voice that tends to have some rasp to it, even a slight growl. All of the songs are instantly catchy but many have a similar tempo except for "Flashback" which is a total thrashfest. It would not sound out of place on an Anthrax album. There are some similarities to Chaos A.D. era Sepultura at times as well.

While the album is very "to the point" and direct, the one downside is that at just under a half-hour, it is really more of an EP than an album. This is just nitpicking. Any metal fan who likes the aforementioned bands or any 90s era groove metal bands will find plenty to enjoy here.
