There is nothing wrong with music evolving. Likewise, there is absolutely nothing wrong in finding new music that reminds you of the blooming age of black metal. In their twelve years of existence, Kjeld have been able to gather inspiration to finally deliver their first full length album, Skym.

For all souls nostalgic of the bombastic energy from 1997, Skym will be a pearl. Kjeld delivers raw riffs that, together with the flat-tuned melodies, will take you on a journey through the Ancien history of Frisia, their kingdom of origin.

Allying Swedish speed and Norwegian epics, Kjeld will satisfy most fans of Scandinavian Black Metal. The names Windir, Dissection or Carach Angren come to mind. Not surprisingly, they have already successfully shared a stage with Vreid on their Sognametal tour last fall, along with Posthum.

Kjeld might be one of the most promising black-metal bands in activity nowadays. For how long thier inspiration will result in new Skyms, I don't know, but hopefully Kjeld will continue evolving and renew the genre, staying true to themselves and their influences.

Get their Digipack CD/Gatefold 2-LP before it's too late!
