Live albums are (as maybe some of
you know,) not my favourite releases,
but this time I'm very happy to get this
double live album in my possession.
W.E.T is an unique melodic rock project
with members from three amazing hard
rock bands (Work of Art, Eclipse and
Talisman) and this was a well planned
live gig, which was recorded for a
live-DVD as well. I only got the CD's to review,
but W.E.T's albums together with songs
from the original bands manage to capture
my interest all the way to the end!
As the front man we have the
mighty vocalist Jeff Scott Soto and he
seems to connect extremely well with the
Swedish audience, because I feel the
magic sparks through my speakers. With
guest players from Work of Art (Jens
Säfsund) and Talisman (Jamie Borger),
this is a great experience for all fans of
the Scandinavian Melodic Rock. The tracklist contains several magnificent
songs from W.o.A, Eclipse and Talisman
beside the splendid W.E.T songs.
I must get the DVD in my
possession, this was a magic night in
Stockholm and I only regret that I
wasn't there when it all happened,
but this is close enough. A very recommended investment.
