This Swedish band Vornth has been active since the year 2000, but it is the first time I get introduced to them (as far as I can remember). The band is heavily influenced by the early eighties speed/thrash bands and also some English/Danish evil bands can be mentioned. Tank, Venom, Sacrifice, Razor, Exciter, Kreator, Mercyful Fate (the evil attitude) and Metallica are some of them.

This album was already released on vinyl in August last year, but now found its way to CD media as well. It all sounds very old school, not only the music but also the production could have been done in the early eighties. With that I don't mean that it sounds bad, but it has that same feeling. Besides the bands I already mentioned, Motorhead will be an influence as well I guess. For me there are two highligths on this album and that is the songs "Rip Rip Rip" and "Death's Horse". Those 2 tracks sound a bit groovier and different and have a strange singing style. The song "Bleed" is in my opinion too weak . In "Axe Murder" you hear early Kreator 'Pleasure of Pain' era combined with some satanic Mercyful Fate laughter-parts. All in all there is quite some variety, but it is old school (not original) and evil all the way.

If you still are drooling and cumming on eigthies albums from the bands I mentioned above, you have to listen to this Vornth and decide if you like them or not. I liked listening to them for a few times, but I don't think I will take it off the shelves often.
