While their 2012 album "A Healing Place" was a solid effort, this new album is a big leap forward towards the top of genre. While they are not just yet in the same league as genre giants like Anathema and Katatonia, they are surely closing the gap fast.

"New Haven" is simply a much stronger album all-together; the atmosphere seems more dens, the songs are better written and more complete, the production is better... you get the picture.

The sound universe can best be described as a collection of beautiful melodies with a underlying melancholic atmosphere, and each song takes us on an introvert journey into the soul. The songs don't stick right out the box, and I needed many spins to fully appreciate the finer nuances and layers of delicate sound. But once it opened up to me it began to crawl under my skin... and now I really, really like this album.

Recommended to fans of atmospheric sounds with a slight progressive edge.

Well done!
