The danish party-rockers in
Superdirt are back with their second
studio release. This time is it a 'mini
album' or EP with only six tracks. The
music tone hasn't change much since their
self-titled debut from 2011. Straight
forward, up-tempo, full throttle rock n
roll with screaming guitars and groovy
party rhythms.
The opening song 'Shout's best
parts is the sharp guitars. The title
track is the best song on this disc with a
very groovy rock sound and nice guitar
hooks. Big doses of inspiration from the
marvelous Danish band D.A.D in this tune. The
shortest name of a track is 'I' and it sounds like Motörhead and The
Cult had to write a song together,
Fredrik does a strong vocal performance
in this song. 'Hosing Around' is the
heaviest track, which sounds as if Mustasch has wrote this song. 'Heroes'
is faster rock song in Skid Row style.
The closing track 'Blood on your Hands'
sounds more in an 90's
alternative/thrash rock mode.
Well, if you like dusty garage
rock with strong vocal and cocky
confidence you need to give this one a listen. I can imagine that this kind
of rock fits perfect on a small rock
club with plenty of beer drinkers.
Look them up if you are in
Copenhagen the 2 May on their release
party. I think they will rock your pants
off...
