The quartet from Wales SPIDER KITTEN works in a rather free and experimental atmosphere. Melting different genders, instruments, and influences they seek their own identity that corresponds to the outer environment. They can offer you three minutes long songs based in the vintage culture, as well as more than half and hour long sludge wastes. As well as everything between these two options.

The verbose inspired till hystery press kit convices me only in this that from two years nothing happens with the band, except its trip to US. Undergroove Records are not the traditional label of   SPIDER KITTEN. The EP „Behold Mountain. Hail Sea. Venerate Sky. Bow Before Tree. is a record of a studio jam inspired from casual ideas.

With no doubt the whole material is full of sludge ideas. The first track (in the varian we receive the EP) carries also the stoner metal mood of the English music tradition of the 70es.  The long three act composition that seems basis for this CD is enriched with different sound adds of a many-sided landscape. Wales folk motives are pressed by sludge sound. The song suffocates in a guest appearance of a violoncellist to  revive in an aggressive sludge metal part with spoken outroduction. The final track is dominated by dynamics, echo in the vocals, and contrasting microphonics. The extended high singing touches the early Ozzy but it is more as an experiment over a lonely motive.

The ЕР is under the level of its pretension. The artwork is also an early working draft of an idea with good potentiality. Of course the release is interesting for the researchers of the territories of the band, as well as for some of the fans of MELVINS, KYUSS, RUSH.
