High falsetto vocals in King Diamond style, music reminding of the first two
Mercyful Fate albums, twin guitars and bass lines rather in front of the mix.
That is what Portrait serves us on this album. In fact not a lot different from
their last album.
The songs are nice to listen to, but without one that
really sticks or can make a difference. I do not have a lot more to tell about this
release. This is 90% Mercyful Fate, 5% early Iron Maiden and 5% Manilla Road. If
that sounds like music to your ears, there isn't anything keeping you from
buying this album.
