A new band from Italy, with bass-player Arcangeli and keyboard-player Casali both DGM in the line-up. The first thing that hit me after the intro are the heavy guitar riffs and the very tight drumming of the first song "Risen". I even thought that I was still listening to a riff of the new Arch Enemy album. If you need an idea of their music, I give you the following bands: Symphony X, Nightmare, Eldritch, Yngwie, Gamma Ray and a bit Sonata Arctica.

The balance between the heavy riffing and the melodic neo classical keyboard parts is perfect and the guitar soli of Mattei fight nice duels with the keyboards of Casali. Vocalist Frank Corigliani has a high reach and is one of the better typical power metal singers in the genre. Besides the heavy very tight sounding music the band also adds some progressive elements. A song like "Ashes" sounds like a heavy Yngwie track and the next song "Fear" you can almost call speed metal. I don't think there is a weak part to find on this album. Noveria is for me the surprise of this month.

If you like heavy riffs, neo classical pieces, a lot of melody, excellent keyboard parts and this all embedded in rather fast songs with powerful drumming, you better stop reading and get it. Fans of a heavier sounding DGM will also like this I think.
