The former Jaded Heart - singer
Michael Bormann releases herewith his softest
side in a big bunch of power ballads. 15 tracks to
be exact. Overdose of the silky, lush and emotional
melodies??? Well, this is a lot to chew on. Most of
the songs are very sensitive and well-executed, fans
of rock ballads have something to check out here...
Ballad version of the Beatles' old hit
song 'Help' has already been done better
by John Farnham in 1980. Have not you
heard it then please check up on that version
instead.
The songs are, as I said very good, but
perhaps not in the classic dimensions.
But one or two would surely have become hits
if they had been released, when power ballads were peaking
in
1989 - 1991.
"Singing for You" is not at all stupid
and perhaps the disc's strongest song.
Concluding 'Berleben' is also very
strong. Initial 'I Wanna Hear Your Voice'
also touches my dark heart.
So drop your guard and take a moment of
relaxation in Michael 's company. It can
absolutely be worse and it is clearly
acceptable to own this album and get the
blood pressure down several levels. A
brave album from the big voice of
Michael Bormann.
