According to the promo sheet this is their 13th studio album, but if I am not
mistaken their 11th full length. Illdisposed delivers a worthy album every time.
Their death metal is recognizable, but never surprises and that is in my eyes
the biggest problem for the band. They always color perfectly within the lines.
From start to finish there isn't anything to bitch about and it grooves most
of the times in mid-tempo. The grunting vocals of Summer are average also and
the same can be said about the song writing. It is like driving a
Volkswagen, reliable and safe without taking the risk to run aground. For fans
of Illdisposed this is again an album that fits in their repertoire. My personal
opinion is that the band is repeating themselves a bit on the last few albums.
With the sound of the album is nothing wrong and it grooves and moves as old,
but perhaps I am just too spoiled with good death metal to really get excited
about this new album.
I think it is a dutiful release, not bad, but not special enough to make my
blood run any faster.
