Faithsedge hails from California and the
only member I recognize in the line up is Eric Ragno.
He is most known for being on many melodic rock
albums such as Fergie Frederiksen (Toto) and
Trixter’s great return album 'New Audio Machine'.
This is something different in my ears and is a bit
from the melodic rock he has been doing before.
Faithsedge serves a musical production
with raw, naked, energetic hard rock spiced with
some excellent guitar skills. Giancarlo contacted
producer and bass player Fabrizio Grossi (Steve
Lukather/Alice Cooper) after being impressed with
his work on numerous albums as a producer and his
amazing bass playing skills. This album didn't grip
my spine in the very first spin. It took a while to
digest "The Answer of Insanity", but the songs began
to grow and grow, after my tenth or twelve
listenings, it fell on the right spots.
Giancarlo and c/o is giving us a disc
with melodic hard rock with kick-ass tempo and their
enthusiastic level is quite high. Very driven hard
rock with splashes of heavy metal in some of the
tracks. Very strong and passionate vocals from
Giancarlo backed by the hard hitting drummer Tony
Morra (Rebecca St James, Van Zant) and of course fat
keys from both Eric and the big little man
Alessandro Del Vecchio.
Old school hard rock dressed in a kind
of modern hard rock clothes, but the fire and love
to the raw, true hard rock is shining through. Not a
masterpiece, but a really good rock album with big
heart for the classic heavy hard rock.
