The long wait is over! The
sparkling AOR / Melodic hard rock
project Brother Firetribe is finally
here with their brand new album - "Diamond in the
Firepit".
It's been six long years since they
released their last studio creation
'Heart Full of Fire'. If you love
melodic hard rock boiled in an
high-class production and spiced with
ultra-professional musicians, you know
what this is about.
The strong vocals from Pekka Ansio Heino
(Leverage) is still the trademark of
Brother Firetribe's sound and created together with Nightwish's
guitarist Emppu Vourinen this a new amazing disc
for the softer hard rock fans. If you like bands
like: H.E.A.T, Eclipse, Work of Art, WET,
Journey or Toto, this is this a must for
your album-collection. Very adult
melodic hard rock with very charming
choruses that might sparkle a little too much
in some of the songs. I was
hooked by this band with their first
album from 2006 (False Metal/Break Out)
and 'Diamond in the Firepit' does not
diminish my interest in this band. On
the contrary, they have grown in both
strength and quality.
I find a couple of tracks that shine
more than the other tracks:
Love's Not Enough, Far away from Love,
For Better or for Worse and the groovy
Winner Takes it All.
Maybe not an future classic AOR/melodic
rock album, but one of this years finest
AOR discs (so far).
They doesn't surprise me with any new
breathtaking twists, it seems like they
have just picked up from the previous album
and I'm quite satisfied with that.
A recommend purchase.
