When I reviewed Brazilian Woslom's debut disc, 'Time To Rise', sometime last year, I was enthusiastic. This was a rock solid thrash album with a bunch of cool riffs to go. I'm not sure what happened in Sao Paolo, coz I'm nowhere near as enthusiastic this time around.
'Evolustruction' shows us a band which has grown up, I suppose. Yeah, there is still a strong thrash element, but it only has a shadow of the fury it's predecessor had. It's more of a hard rock album, really. The freshness is gone, the vocal performance is somewhat flat and uninspired. It's still solid and well-performed music, but to be honest, more in the boring sense of the word.
You can't win them all - I'm not really won over this time, lads - I know for sure that you can do a lot better!
