2010: Guitarist Ese leaves Vreid and forms his own one-man band called Slegest. The intention is to let the inspiration from Black Sabbath flow and add to that a rasping vocal.

The intention has finally come to life on the 'Løyndom' album. Except...it doesn't really live as much as one could have hoped. What this is is really an for the most part up-beat rock album with some epic elements. It's even got a really cool riff or two, in particular the tune Dirt Life Death has a nice, rocking flow.

What really brings 'Løyndom' down to the just-above-average mark is the near-black metal vocal which Ese has decided to use. It kills everything for me. Where there is potential for an alright rocking album, the vocals just makes all the tunes on here flat and uninteresting. Nice try, but it doesn't really work.

Next, please.
