This is a dark, atmospheric and introspect journey done by four Italians. The melancholic soundscape they put on display has strong roots in the Swedish dark gothic metal scene, first and foremost Katatonia. But Resonance Room incorporate influences from other European metal bands like Riverside and Anathema as well

So we are walking down the dark and melancholic paths created by some of the most influential bands and I must admit that there is room for a band like Resonance Room, when it's done with such ease and conviction like they do on "Untouchable Failure".

If you like Katatonia then I am sure you'd like this album also, because even though they are walking the same path they are not walking in the footsteps. Sure there are similarities but this is by no means a simple rip-off.

A fine little gem for fans of melancholic and dark metal.
