Red Rose is back with a brand new album and Leve Laiter on vocals and his friends have used the time well since their superb debut album called 'Live the Life You've Imagined' from 2011. The progressive part has been toned down a little and it feels a bit more melodic metal forging all over it. Not that there is anything worse, but it feels like that it is more stripped-down and more easy to chew somehow. Except in 'Original Sin' and 'This Bitter World' where the the heavier progressive parts are definitely back and it feels good.

They must retain these characteristics that make them interesting to existing fans and all those, who have not discovered them yet. And with two albums on their back, this band is ready to go on tour and play live! I wish that they will be on the band lists of some of the major festivals in the north. If you like the mixture of Helloween, Sonata Artica and Dream Theather, then Red Rose definitely is something you must check out!

Leve has an epic and quite high pitched mode and in the beginning I had some problems with his vocal performance, but the songs fit his voice just perfectly. The guitarist Elnur Aliev is a very strong factor to their groovy sound all together and with Eli Reeve on bass and Deion Kristen on keyboard they has found a own furrow plowed in the progressive metal field. Eight strong tracks with both calmer sensitive tunes and heavy progressive songs. A nice blend of modern metal music.

Did I mention that Red Rose is from Israel? The world metal map is growing and this band is worth discovering.
