This is Italian based No Man Eyes first release and after the first 2 tracks I was rather impressed. Sure the pronunciation of Fabio is with a lot of accent, but that is something rather common for Italian bands.

After a short calm track, "Hollow Man" opens aggressive and rather heavy. Especially the riffs have a kind of Nevermore'ish touch, they are rather low tuned. The song sounds modern, a little dark and the pounding rhythm works addictive. "Isolation" is another track that hammers away with strong riffing a bit in Megadeth style and the guitar soli are quite impressive. The style of their music is a kind of mix of Dream Theater, Megadeth and Nevermore. But they do not have the class of those bands.

They can't keep up the high song level of the first tracks and that sees to it that the rest of the album sounds rather average. Although I have to admit that the galloping riff in "Constantinopolis" works for me. The musicians are skilled and I think that if they succeed in writing an album with only strong songs next time, it will be a real hammer. Now the band just doesn't really blossom, although I have to say that I really enjoyed listening to most of the songs.

I advice you to listen to this band and at least give them the benefit of the doubt and I'm sure there are enough metal heads that will like this album.
