If you belong to those, who think that the metal scene hasn't evolved since 1990 and that a "small" band fronted by a West Ham United supporter is the cornerstone in all of metal, then I am sure this is an album you'll find interesting.

Lancer surely wears their influences on the sleeves; Iron Maiden is a clear cut number one, followed by Gamma Ray and Helloween and that's about it... Original, not one bit!

It is extremely hard to stand out these days, and influences are bound to sneak in - but to catch my attention you need to have some sort of originality. Something Lancer completely lacks, sure the technical level is in place, the production is adequate, but that's about it...

But I am sure hardcore NWoBHM fans will disagree strongly, but this is just so predictable and uninteresting in my book!
