Damn, I didn't see this one coming. I just listened to some short phrases when I volunteered to review this album, but I was not aware that this would be a very, very good album. They hail from Argentina and with front man Diego Valdez they have a real top singer. Perhaps you have seen him singing with Tarja on her latest DVD in the song "Phantom of the Opera". Diego has the same warm sound in his voice as Ronnie James Dio (R.I.P.), he sounds a lot like him. Besides that the songs are all of a very high quality and are a kind of mix of power metal (think Primal Fear) and the heavy metal of DIO. With the help of Matt Sinner during the recordings you will not be surprised that it all sounds rather German. If I didn't know better I would have bet they were hailing from Germany. On the track "Begging for Forgiveness" there is a vocal contribution of Ralf Scheepers and Tim Owens. Two vocalists that perfectly fit to this style of course. All the tracks are of the same quality, no fillers and metal fans that like Primal Fear and Dio, or German power metal in general will certainly be pleased with this album. | ||||||||||||||||||
