Sleaze/thrash metal with aggressive melodic metal influence. Hardcore Superstar from Sweden is playing exactly that kind of rock 'n' roll. Full throttle and the pedal in the floor. This is their 9th album and their first album came in 1998, so Hardcore Superstar is no beginners in this genre. Well, if you already are a fan of the dynamic and productive Gothenburg glam metal gang, you know exactly what to expect.

It's groovy rock 'n' roll like on their earlier albums and with the energetic up-tempo tracks and the aggressive vocals from Joakim Berg, which is the trademark that Hardcore Superstars has built through the years. Melodic sleaze metal that kicks you in the butt and it is a perfect disc to listen to when you are working out or is out to do some jogging.

If you take a dose of Guns 'n' Roses and some ounces of the early Mötley Crüe sound in a blend and spice it up with ultra sharp guitars and hard hitting drums you have the recipe of the Hardcore Superstar rock. I've seen these guys on stage and they are a amazing live act to watch. They really know how to entertain a big audience. The songs that peaks on 'C'mon Take On Me' are:  'Are You Gonna Cry Now', 'One More Minute', 'Dead Man's Shoes' and 'Too Much Business'.

'C'mon Take On Me' is a shimmering party album, but I don't think it will be a future classic album or a work of art that changed anyone's life or so.

It's just another  cool disc for the fans of glam and sleaze metal with some burnout marks on the asphalt.

Line up: Jocke Berg - vocals, Magnus Andreasson - drums, Vic Zino - guitar and Martin Sandvik on the bass.
