Jan Martens - bass (Nymphet Noodlers). Mattias Bärjed - guitar (The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Nymphet Noodlers,) Kim Fransson - lead vocals (Swedish Chefs) Ludwig Dahlberg - drums (The International Noise Conspiracy, Teddybears, White Moose) are the members in a new Swedish project called Free Fall.

The band plays a personal composed "Freedom Rock" that swings hard with a energetic, authoritarian and uncompromising sound. I should call it 'vintage 70's hard rock' with AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and old school Motorhead in a catchy blend. Graveyard, Bonafide and Witchcraft have a new competitor in the genre, but Free Fall is doing it with a strong pulse from The Who. Free Fall has sharper guitars and isn't as psychedelic as Graveyard for instance. With a vocalist that has a marvellous hoarse in his throat; Kim Fransson is the perfect voice to this kind of rock 'n' roll. If Janis Joplin and Bon Scott had a child together, he must sound just like Kim. 'Power & Volume' starts with the title track and is immediately a big punch in the face with a groove and dusty rhythm and Kim is screaming as he did his last show in his life! 'Free Fall' is the following song and is a calmer track and is not as aggressive as the previous track.

'Midnight Vulture' sounds like an old KISS song from the 70's. In 'Top of the World' it swings like hell and my right leg has a problem to be still. 'Attila' is the mega track with Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple influences and is the best song on entire album. 'Damnation' is so damn much AC/DC that it steams like a hot stream. The closing song on the album is also one of the best songs. 'Meat' is nice rock 'n' roll gem.

Reactionaries or young retro rockers, who just want to play the dusty, alarming and at the same time fresh rock music. I find it quite cool with young rockers that celebrate the analogue, unpolished and gritty sound that I grew up with in the 70's.

I can recommend this to all readers/listeners that like the catchy and groovy rock from the time when the jeans was extremely tight in the waist and wide in the legs.
