On their way around Europe in support of their fantastic debut album, the Flying Colors tour stopped at the O13 in Tilburg, Holland on September 20, 2012. The show was filmed and recorded by Bernhard Baran (G 'n' R, Porcupine Tree) for the starving progressive rock fans to celebrate and enjoy later on... And what strikes me first is the great editing; absolutely one of the best live videos I've seen in a long time, Baran has really captured the performance really well. One the other hand I am not that impressed with the sound quality; lacks dynamic and power. But a well oiled and top professional band easily makes up for it with an absolute top-notch performance live on stage. Yes, it's a super group and they do only have one album; but they rock on stage and add spice with songs from some of their other bands repertoire. An evening of pure progressive pleasure, and I wish I had had the chance to see them live, but have to settle with the next best thing: watching it on my TV with a cold beer. The Blu-Ray and DVD has a 48 minutes documentary with interviews, rehearsal and live clips etc., which is worth watching as well. All in all an enjoyable release: available on Blu-Ray, DVD, 2-CD, limited edition 3 LP and digital - so what are you waiting for...? And do watch the entire DVD because they do return and play one more song; a Deep Purple cover-version that much I'll give away... | ||||||||||||||||||
