Swedish traditional metal band Enforcer releases its third album and like on the first two, 'In to the Night' and 'Diamonds' they serve us eighties NWOBHM. The songs are all rather fast and the screams of singer Olof Wikstrand remind me of Raven. Expect nothing new, just good plain old school stuff. Angelwitch, Raven, Exciter, Anvil, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Judas Priest and the eighties Metallica freaks can lick their fingers off with this stuff. Timeless heavy metal, no more and no less. Twin guitars, the leading bass lines, typical high screams, the up-tempo songs everything is there. Sometimes the influences are very very clear, just listen to the instrumental "Crystal Suite" and it's like you put on one of the first 2 Iron Maiden albums. The last track "Satan" could be a lost 'Kill 'em All' - track, just listen to the singing-style. Listening to this album took me back to the time where beer, woman and music were the most important things in life and like this album nothing has changed. | ||||||||||||||||||
