It happens that I runs into a new, young and talented rock band which has something extra and awakes my curiosity. That is what happened when I heard these four Swedes musical performance. Their guitarist Rick Digorio earned the title as "Scandinavia's Best Guitarist", chosen by the jury at the Emergenza finals in Stockholm this year. Their big love and inspiration from the 80's melodic hard rock is obvious and their looks is close to early Mötely Crüe without makeup. Strong and wide vocals from Mike Palace on lead vocals is contributing to a Poison, Warrant, Great White, Night Ranger sounding EP. Big hooks and catchy rock is what we get served on this three track EP. The first song 'Julia' is a very melodic rock gem with a smoking guitar solo from Rick with Toto feelings. The second track 'Public Personality (nah-nah-nah-nah)' is a groovy song and is probably a popular live song to get in contact with the audience with. I hear a lot from Electric Boys in this song and it's the strongest tune on the EP. The title track 'Big Time' is a solid and well written song with cool vocals from the front man Mike. My overall impression is that they have loads of talent and are highly motivated. I do hope that they can get a album contract with one of the major record ccompanies because this really rocks. If you like 80's melodic hard rock, you should take a listen here. Line-up |
