The intro to the song "Hunted Down" sounds so familiar to me, but I can't put a finger on it. Never mind, this Italian power metal combo has a very German kind of metal sound. No Rhapsody kind of approach, but just riff-based metal with balls and the powerful vocals of Federica De Boni. She returned in 2010, after she left the band in 2001. In the years between, the position behind the microphone was filled in by Gustavo Gabarro and since 2006 by Elisa de Palma. In 2010 Elisa left the band and was replaced by Federica again. She has an aggressive voice, you can compare her with Leather Leone (does any of you readers remember her?). Besides the aggressive stuff she can also sing the more emotional parts. A lot of the songs can be classified as good, although I have to say that after eighth or nine tracks I loose my attention. Not because the songs are getting worse, but more because the formula wears out. A nice power metal album, but that's all what can be said about it too. It will not break any legs, but due to the female vocals it is just a little bit more interesting than your average album. | ||||||||||||||||||
