Creed and Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti comes out firing on all cylinders on his debut solo album: "All I Was". On these twelve songs he shows off his full repertoire from the gentle and soft tunes to the thrashy, powerful and hard riff based songs. He has written all the songs, sings and plays guitars on the album, and helping him out is Garrett Whitlock on drums and Eric Friedman on bass, backing vocals and guitars.

Some of the songs could easily have been on one of his prime bands releases, and some are simply too hard edged to fit in. The diversity is clearly the strength of this album; there's room for him to take a song beyond the confines of his "normal" band situations, and he does with great success.

"All I Was" shows that Mark Tremonti is more than a hard rocker, he has a harder and darker side to him, and the heavier songs fit in very well with the other songs. he rips through twelve songs that oozes of professionalism, emotions and fun. Mark Tremonti proves once more that he has to counted amongst the premier hard rock guitarist and song writers in this millennium, and he does also show that he has a fine set of pipes as well.

This is an album for fan's of the harder side of hard rock and for fans of equilibristic guitar playing... so why don't you give this album a serious consideration...?
