Five music students from Malmö, Sweden created this project called State of Salazar. Their aim was to make high quality music in AOR style. Influences from ToTo, Queen, Chicago, Survivor and Europe are obvious and the goal is fulfilled. This EP is an extremely polished piece of art that has a flawless production and a very talented vocalist in Marcus Nygren, who sounds similar to the great Toby Hitchcock btw.

In 'When Heroes Fall' they serve a smooth, delicate and excellent balanced song with neat melodies and with a marvelous guitar solo in the middle. 'The Blind Man' has very much of the classic ToTo sound. 'Confession' sounds like a church song. Up-tempo track 'Lost My Way With You' is a song that spreads a lot of joy and many positive feelings. All the bonus songs are really strong ones as well.

The band members are involved in several studio project beside this band and I think that we are quite many listeners that would like to have a full length album in a near future. Because this was very tasty. If you are a fan of very melodic rock then this is a band for you to check-out.
