Studio album number 20, the return of vocalist Michael Sadler and Saga staying within the safe confines of their unique style are all the facts you need to know what to expect from this Canadian rock institution. Ian Crichton's razor-sharp guitar riffs, Jim Gilmour's complex keyboard arrangements and Michael Sadler's brilliant voice have always been the signatures of their sound, and "20/20" has it all in abundance. They are playing to their own strengths and deliver one of their better albums... not in the same league as their first four albums, but they will forever be unbeatable. The ten songs showing where Saga stands today, more than 30 years after it began, are complex, well played and are strong enough to be a big part of their live-set, the place where this band really excels. Go see them on tour, sing along with the old classics as well as the newbie's. Well done! | ||||||||||||||||||
