This 'Prayer' hails from Oulu in Northern Finland and 7 years has passed since these melodic hard rockers gave us their last album ' Wrong Address'. I really like when I get a disc that hooks me already on the first spin. Superb keyboards and shining guitars with splendid melodic rock songs for 43 minutes is what you get. With a firm and adult rock style 'Prayer' is another band to count from the Scandinavian AOR pack.

I don't fancy Tapanis voice really, but I accept it anyway, even though his vocal tune is close to Phil Lynott's. In these shining, mature rock songs he does spice the tunes up into something memorable. To me, the guitar is playing the big positive part on the album and the ten tracks are grabbing me deeply somehow. I don't know if it's Valtteri's or Jukka's guitar that is so heart breaking on me and I just don't care.

I've listen to "Danger in the Dark" 25 times and finds new small loops and turns from the 2 string benders to detect. Tapani has written all the awesome songs on 'Danger in the Dark' and several have the high quality to be on any of Aldo Nova's disc's from the 80's. Fans of Saga, Magnum, Asia will enjoy this piece from these Finnish musicians. If you like good melodies and AOR this is a new acquaintance to put your eyes and ears on.

Prayer is: Jukka Ihme - guitar, Mika Pohjola - bass, Matti Torro - drums, Tapani Tikkanen - vocal, Valtteri Tikkanen - guitar.
