Three years after the foundation of the band Unholy Masochist (vocals) achieved to clear his black metal influences. And after two more years he succeeded to make the line up stable. Two more years they needed to records their first demo.

The spoken intro of “Thrashing Hell” returns me to “Hymn to Abremelin” of MESSIAH. Short after that begins a massacre as if came out from lost demos of SODOM and KREATOR. “Altar of Lust and Sins” (01) is a noisy crush in fast and middle tempo. “Agony” (02) seems to be combined with the demos of HELLHAMMER as well. And “Insulter” (03) devotes the necessary respect to the Bay Area thrash. The whole release has SODOM-like vocals with lots of echo.

Although it is full of retrospections, the debut demo of INSULTER has perfect vision and good production. It would not be a lie if someone says that it comes late in time. But for me “Thrashing Hell” indeed is close to the perfect demo!
