The re-release of Heavenward's debut album from 1991 is spiced up with a brand new song as the opening song; 'System Going Down', a thrash metal track in a modern style and the German metal veterans have truly made a full blood crusher, which is kicking my ass. Stefan Kessel on vocals is a power pack; a singer with a high pitch, and in the fast paced songs the guitars riffing are as hell and the driven bass almost get a speeding ticket. An exciting acquaintance, which passed me completely. The ultrahigh song is at King
Diamond level and the typical German
heavy metal amount of swing from the
early 90's may not be as fresh now as it
was back then. The rest of the songs on the
album are from -91 and they don't keep
my interest like the opening song did. Buy
'System Going Down' if it's possible...
That track is the best on the album!! Line-up: Stafan Kessel - vocals, Bernd Gröters - guitar, Oliver Müller - bass and Thomas Kelleners on drums. |
