"I Am Anonymous" is the best metal album I've stumbled across the past thirteen years! It is all the way up there with Dream Theater's "Scenes from a Memory" and Queens˙che's "Operation: Mindcrime", the two milestones in my music universe, to surpass Sieges Even's "The Art of Navigating by the Stars" speaks volume alone, but to challenge the others is something I've thought would never happen.

I could start name dropping, and people could claim that this is just another super-group showing off, but there is so much more to it than just that from this English powerhouse consisting of Damian Wilson (vocals, Threshold, Ayreon etc.), Adam Wakeman (keyboards, Ozzy Osbourne), Pete Rinaldi (guitars), Lee Pomeroy (bass, Take That, It Bites etc.) and Richard Brook (drums, Victoria Beckham, Avril Lavigne etc.). This is a timeless, innovative and effortless piece of progressive metal, one that most likely won't be surpassed this year.

Close to 75 minutes of music that has hit me where it hurts; music that brings joy, that makes me think, that opens my mind and lets me float away on the waves of bliss. Yes, I love this album and must have played it at least 50 times over the past month. No other album has made such an impression on me like this for ages and I can't stop playing it over and over and over...

Need more explaining? Well, this album combines the strengths of Dream Theater, Threshold, A Perfect Circle, Rush and Yes and melts it all into a perfect symbiosis. The music simply captures you and takes you on a sonic journey beyond the stratosphere. I could go on and on, throwing superlatives at them, praising each song and pick out exceptional moments, but I won't. Instead I would make the recommendation that if you only plan to buy one album this year, then let it be this one!

Album of the Year - NO DOUBT!
Deserved score - NO DOUBT!
Can I move on from this - DOUBTFUL!
