Fans of the gory section of the death metal community can look
this way. Gorgy rears its ugly head from the US death metal underground and
makes some serious stabs at the unsuspecting listener with their debut album.
I can confirm that there is little new under the sun to be found on 'Birth of
Damnation' if you are already acquainted with the works of Cannibal Corpse,
Immolation or Suffocation. Thereby not said that this is a boring album, or that
it lacks diversity. Not at all. The five-piece have gone to lengths to put in
solos that aren't just what you'd expect as well as funny little samples to open
the tunes.
To make a long story short: this is no classic, but a solid piece of mayhem
which gore metal fans can safely invest in. Check it out.
