A vacation with plenty of time to enjoy all the new albums, which have their release days in August has ended. Now has the listening time been closed and it's time to put my impressions and fellings to print and I start off with a (for me anyway) quite unknown metal band from the US. Fozzy is an exiting rock band with very skilled members. This new album is their fifth and I must say that it's hard to put them into a specific genre because the tracks are covering all the rock styles from very melodic rock songs to pure death metal tracks and they do it very well. The strong start with the songs 'Spider In My mouth' and 'Sandpaper' really blew me away and gave me a big dose of energy and that is what most of the Fozzy metal songs are delivering. All the five members are giving their maximum in all tracks and I'm very happy that I had the opportunity to get this disc on my table. Fozzy has toured Europe this summer and I'm sorry that they missed Sweden this time. Fozzy has a big front man in the former WWE - wrestler Chris Jericho, who accually can sing and he has a true metal veteran on the guitar; Rich Ward, who is the creator of the band and has a history with Stuck Mojo and is one of the more respected guitar players in the US. "Sin and Bones" is an album that can be heard over and over again. The mix of different metal/rock styles makes this a perfect disc to have on at the party or when you is working out and want some extra energy in the body and soul. For me, Fozzy has helped me to get some extra boost into the headwind when I've trained on my bicycle. If you are a fan of melodic, modern 'kick ass' metal, then this is an album for you. I found 1-2 filler songs, but the other songs made this a more than your regular standard album. I want to get more armbars and punches from these hard hitting guys.
