Confidence is a 5-piece from Sweden which has chosen to only do a digital releases without any record company involved. They intend to do 2 digital releases a year with four or five songs. Fans of the band can look forward to that twice a year and the band has no label worries or interferences.

The first track is in my opinion immediately the best. Influences of Savatage and Circle II Circle lie on top. The riffing and singing-style has a Savatage kind of threatening sound. Not the worst bands to be compared to. The second song is a bit softer and has more melody, the keys sometimes make me think of Royal Hunt. The third track is a ballad that starts with piano and has the usual arrangements for a ballad. Just a regular song. The last track is again heavier with keyboards that make me think of Rough Silk. In this track I find the singing of Emil Kyrk a little too forced sounding, but that can be just me.

All in all, not a bad band and if they can write songs like "Flesh and Skin" all the time, I will be looking forward to their next Digital issue.
