Aura Noir's last record, Out to Die, is a brutal assault. No use to hesitate to say it. It might even be one of the band's best material on record, to my opinion.

More old school thrash, no less black and dirty. The compos are raw, right from Aura Noir's hard core. Instrumentation is dry, sharp, like spat from the mouth of a dragon. The riffs, harsh and catchy, are like a turmoil, with great dynamics.

One doesn't stand still for long listening to Out to Die. The production though, sounds a bit thin after a while.

To me Aura Noir's a live band of excellence, so better check 'em live. Their next date with the stage is the Damnation Festival in Leeds, UK, in November, along with My Dying Bride, Primordial, and more.
