I have been a fan of this Brazilian band, since the album 'Holy Land'. Especially the typical sound of vocalist and founder of the band André Matos did move me. When Eduardo Falaschi took his place in 2000, I missed André's voice in the first place. After a while I got used to it, but for me the first albums with André are still their best. This compilation is a perfect blue print of the band's career and releases. To make it easy for us they divided it in 2 parts. On CD 1 you can find the early albums with André and on CD II songs of the releases with Eduardo on vocals. For fans of the band there isn't a lot material you don't already own I think. The only two special pieces on this album are a live version of "Carolina IV" (from the EP 'Holy Live') and the Led Zeppelin cover "Kashmir" from the album 'The Music Remains the Same (LZ-tribute). All the other songs are from their regular releases throughout the years. Conclusion is that this is more an album for metal heads, who want to get acquainted with this band and haven't a lot of material at home already. For die-hard fans the album isn't worth the money I think. The biggest surprise for me is that they put 4 songs of their debut on this album, that should say something about the importance of this album for the band. | ||||||||||||||||||
