Anaal Nathrakh has no time for frills on Vanitas. On this short release, the band manages to depict a raging battlefield of compositions, 10 in total.

Sudden interruptions within the tracks, transitions of a slightly brutal character are sure to keep the listener alert. Nothing new at this point. In this sembling chaos of sound experimentations, the surprise is that some compo actually has the structure of catchy tracks, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, aso... mind you, this is just a one time experiment, a well-hidden one.

Vanitas might or might not be your cup of tea. Either you're with or against, but you're sure not to be kept indifferent.

Especially if in doubt, taste of Anaal Nathrakh's chalice if they should tour again this year.
