The members in California based Trick Pistol really got the right look in the album cover; 4 metal heads who should blow out my speakers and in the first track " Evil Strangelhold" on their album "No Regrets" they fulfills my expectations with a groovy and a hard rocking track. In the next track it seem like the tempo went into some modern pop style and my finger want to press on the skip button. In the 3rd song "Playing with Fire" they are back to some more rock character and harder music style they want to announce as their signature. Track nr 4 is another pop song, so here we use the skip button again, but next one must be a harder one or? Ohh Yea "Summer Nights" is a AC/DC-influenced track that gives me some hope. In "The Patient" which is a ballad they sound like The Beatles were the song writers, because the parable in the sound is confusingly similar. "Time To Wake Up" is a more of a Foo Fighters like song that is little more like a true american rock track.
If I should try to make a short description of this album, it will be; “you blend some Motley Crue, The Beatles, Ted Nugent and spice it up with a dose of Foo Fighers” and you find the sound pretty close to the Trick Pistol sound. I might not be the target group for this kind of rock and the future will tell if I’m wrong, but it’s an alright album not anything more in my ears anyway.
Best tracks: ”Evil Strangelhold”, “Playing with Fire” and “Summer Nights”. | ||||||||||||||||||
