There's certainly a whole lot of interesting things going on in the slightly odd and rather intellectual world of Transcending Bizarre? The Greek combo use a foundation of black metal, but that's most definitely not all you get when this disc spins. A twisted soundscape that starts out with theatrical drama and continues as a journey through emotion and moods that are not often heard on a metal album.

And how many metal bands use French philosopher Descarte as a character throughout an album? (Yeah, the cogito ergo sum fellow.) Not many, I'd wager!

This album is recommended for those who like to listen to technically superb music, but at the same time enjoy the challenge of taking on music that you don't exactly hear every day. Nice one!
