With this second record, this rather young German band is trying to get a foot on the ground in the melodic death scene. The question of course is will they succeed? I have to admit that there are possibilities. The band is heavily influenced by the modern Swedish melodic death combo's such as Soilwork, In Flames etc., but they definitely try something different too. The melodic guitar harmonies and solos are there and the combination of catchy (though aggressive) vocals (no clean ones) and raging drums isn't new either.

But, the band sounds heavier than the normal modern melodic death metal band. First of all there is the combining of the screaming vocals with the very low grunts. A second point is the drums; the double kicks almost never stop. The riffs both guitar players create give you the constant urge to start banging your head and to start kicking ass. The songs are a bit technical, which you can hear in the best in the track "Bittersweet", nevertheless it never gets too progressive or too difficult to understand.

These first class musicians have succeeded in making a good second album and with this album in their register, the metal fans have to make out if the bands popularity will increase. They have my blessing.
