Stream of Passion's sophomore album "The Flame Within" struggled quite some to live up to the very strong debut album "Embrace the Storm", and I am sad to say things have not changed one bit with their new, third album "Darker Days". Marcela Bovio has a wonderful voice and she does once again live up to expectations, but the music just flows one by leaving no marks what so ever. I don't know if they lost their mojo when Arjen Lucassen left the band because this selection of gothic metal songs will not rock any world, and I fear it will drown in the stream of metal releases. It is a bit sad but if I want to hear Stream of Passion then I dig their debut album up and listen with joy... | ||||||||||||||||||
