PANZERCHRIST are a band with serious history. Although the numerous changes in the line-up they continue to keep their concept without any unnecessary concussions. They often “drink” fresh blood from one circle of Danish extreme bands which is a source for ILLDISPOSED as well. And PANZERCHRIST are derivative to ILLDISPOSED – years ago (1993-1994) Michael Enevoldsen founded the band to make the sound heavier, because his previous band did not satisfy him. This is something like the Danish version of the link NAPALM DEATH – CARCASS.

Although the six years long pause in waiting of the new stuff, “Regiment Ragnarok” demonstrates a remarkable connection to the previous releases and keeps the tradition. The style is black/death metal. The death metal passages are decorated with melodies. The black attacks are with fast and aggressive guitars in a military manner. It is something like MARDUK with keyboards. In the music of PANZERCHRIST there is somewhat Swedish influence.

Aggression, speed, imperceptible keyboards and measured melodies are the essence. I searched to find something specific in the sound of PANZERCHRIST but the above-mentioned details deplete all the resources that I hear. Definitely they are one big band in the framework of black/death. Their constancy would fascinate every stabile fan. But with one foot they step into the clichés of the gender. Perhaps a little bit development would not be superfluous after such a pause.
