Turkish metal/hardcore band Nitro play aggressive, catchy, chugging punk-fueled thrash metal. Their full length debut, We Are Nitro, is loaded with 14 tracks of short, punchy songs consisting of elements from Sepultura (their punkier side), DRI and some slight NYHC influences such as Agnostic Front and Sick of it All. It’s a no frills, straight-up album full of aggression and angst. It’s not all that original and somewhat repetitive, but who cares when it comes to this type of music. For the most part, it’s a fun album complete with songs that make you want to crush and kill at will. There’s a lot to like about We Are Nitro. You just can’t help but to be drawn into their infectious punk-flavored metal. | ||||||||||||||||||
