It seems like it's high season for the ex singers from Toto to release solo albums. Dennis "Fergie" Frederiksen is a monument in the AOR genre with his involvment in outstanding projects. In my mind his biggest effort was the great Mecca project with the Swedish musican/producer Tommy Denander after his time in Toto. The history of "Happiness is the Road" is that Fergie together with his friends wrote and composed this work of art as the motivator to defeat his liver cancer the doctors found in the beggining of 2010 and as a sign, when the album was finished this summer the medics found that the cancer was gone.

The whole record is a tribute to life and the message is to enjoy the days you get, not the days you lose. The first 5 songs are top class tracks with some of the best melodic rock anthems this year and remember that the competition is cutthroat. Super tight production and fantastic musicans and a big work effort from the producent Dennis Ward, who plays almost all instrument as well. The magic ballad "Follow Your Heart" is a heartbreaker and song for the big stages. The title song is a super track with all the joys of life, he got from his experiences and the listener gets that feeling too. Overall is this is a great melodic rock album, which will stay a looong time in my personal Ipod.

I truly need in these tough times all the positive energy Fergie gives me through the music and I don't belive that I will be the only one, who will enjoy this fresh medication.

The musicans on the album except Fergie and Dennis are: Dirk Bruinenberg on the drum, Nathan Eshman guitar and Eric Ragno on keyboard.

Top tracks: "Angel", "Elaine", Happiness is the Road", "I Still Belive In Love" and of course "Follow Your Heart.".
