Enbound was formed in 2006 by Mike Cameron Force and I know this guy from his former band Zonata. It took a while before he found the right members for this band, but eventually he did and not the worst ones. Just listen to the excellent virtuosic guitar parts of Marvin Flowberg and the more than average singing performance of Lee Hunter (Lars Säfsund). Last one played in the band Work of Art and he performed in musicals like Jesus Christ Superstar. The 14 songs (one cover) are all decent melodic rock/metal songs, they are polished with a rough edge. It certainly isn't a weak album, therefore the riffs are too edgy at times. Fans of Lion's Share and those who prefer a bit softer Nocturnal Rites version will dig this album. "Under a Spell" for example could be a melodic Nocturnal Rites track and if you want to have an idea how the vocals of Lars sound, you can probably compare them to those of Andy Engberg (Lion's Share). Enbound has created an album for melodic metal fans that like good guitar work, even the song "Beat It" (M.J.) isn't bad at all, so an album worth listening to. | ||||||||||||||||||
